Erasmus+ and EMJMD

Erasmus+

Erasmus+ is the EU programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe.

Joint Master degrees are part of the Key Action 1 of the programme. It aims to encourage the mobility of students, staff, volunteers, youth workers, and young people. Organisations can arrange to send or receive students and staff to or from participating countries, as well as organise teaching, training, learning and volunteering activities.

Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees (EMJMD)

The Erasmus Mundus programme aims to enhance the quality of higher education and promote dialogue and understanding between people and cultures through mobility and academic cooperation.

Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees (EMJMDs) are international study programmes delivered by a consortium of higher education institutions (HEIs) from different countries.

EMJMDs aim to:
•    Foster excellence, innovation, and internationalisation in HEIs
•    Boost the attractiveness of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and support the EU's external action in the field of higher education
•    Improve the level of competences and skills of Master graduates and their employability
