After acceptance

1. What kind of acceptance letters will I receive?

You will receive acceptance letters from the coordinator (Centrale Nantes) and your first institution. Digital acceptance letters will be sent by e-mail. These letters will allow you to apply for the visa. Please acknowledge reception of the email-messages.

2. Do I need to obtain a visa in all countries of study?

Accepted students have to obtain a “long stay student visa” from the country of the first institution.

The "Student mobility visa" allow the student to go to the next hosting institution without applying for another visa for the mobilities in Europe.

Please check in advance for each mobility, regarding your own situation if a visa is required.

3. Is a Schengen visa sufficient?

No, for a residency permit you need a long stay student visa. The Schengen visa is valid only up to 3 months and does not allow you to study.

4. How long does it take to obtain the visa?

It depends on your nationality and country of residence. In some cases, it may take two to three months. Therefore, please make sure to gather all the information for your visa application as soon as you have been accepted. France, being your first mobility, you can contact your local Campus France espace to know more about the visa process.

5. Can you find me accommodation?

Each host institution has a local E-PiCo+ office and a team that will help you find accommodation and will provide you with the necessary preparatory information.
