First intake for Erasmus Mundus Joint Master E-PiCo

First intake of students for E-PiCo

Centrale Nantes is delighted to welcome the first intake of students on campus for the first semester of the Erasmus Mundus E-PiCo programme. 21 students from 14 countries (Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, China, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, Iran, India, Kosovo, Russia, Spain, Turkey) make up the first cohort.

Malek Ghanes, programme coordinator, alongside his fellow coordinators in our partner universities (connecting remotely) will formally welcome students to the programme on Friday 4 September. The six students who have already arrived on campus will attend in person, the remainder will connect via video-conference.

All students will spend their second semester at one of our partner institutions: Universita Degli Studi dell'Aquila (Italy), Christian Albrechts Universitaet Zu Kiel (Germany) or Universitatea Politehnica din Bucuresti (Romania).

This topnotch Master’s programme in e-mobility has been selected under the European Programmes of Excellence: Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees (EMJMD). E-Pico, Electric Vehicle Propulsion and Control, is designed and taught at a consortium of four major European higher education institutions alongside academic and industrial partners.

E-PiCo will be the first European programme providing technical and scientific solutions to the issues of fossil fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, directly applicable in industry, by training future electric propulsion system expert graduates.
